How does it work?
Select a game and start the download by clicking the relevant button. This will download a small file containing our download manager which ensures that the game is downloaded correctly and safely. Launch the file to download the game. Once the download has finished, you will be asked if you want to install the game on your system.
IMPORTANT:
Your antivirus software may display a warning while the download manager is running - please ignore this warning. We guarantee that the software is free of viruses. If your antivirus software causes problems with the download, deactivate it until the download is finished.
How do I install the game on my computer?
After you have downloaded the game and saved it into a folder of your choice, simply go to the folder and double click the game icon. Now the game starts its automated install shield and guides you through the entire installation process . Once you have successfully installed the game, simply double click the game icon on your desktop or go to "Start / Programs / Eidos" to launch the game.
Can I choose a different directory to install the game to?
Yes, you can choose any folder. When the installation routine starts, there will be a window showing the standard file path for the game (c:/Program Files/Eidos/Game title). You can install the game in any folder you like but itīs much easier to relocate the game if you use the standard game folder.
What will happen if I decide to purchase a game?
It is very easy to purchase a game. Simply select the game by clicking on the "Buy now" button. Please note that you require an internet connection for the purchase process, therefore you have to establish an internet connection before proceeding. As soon as you have clicked "Buy now" you will be guided though the purchase process. Please complete this process and do not close the application prematurely. Print your online confirmation and keep it for future reference. It contains your license number which you will need in case of eventually reinstalling and unlocking your game.
What about STEAM games?
Due to publisher decision some of the games available on the eStore require you to download and activate the Steam client.
The Steam client is available with your download. During the game installation you will be required to login or register to Steam.
You will also be asked for a Product Key during the installation. This key is sent to you in the confirmation email.
What happens to my private data?
All personal and private data are treated with the highest confidentiality and according to our Privacy Policy.
Is my payment method stored and encrypted on the payment server, or will I need to enter the card details each time I make a purchase?
We do not store this information. All card details will need to be input each time you make a purchase.
Health warning/ Epilepsy warning
Legal warning: Some people are susceptible to epileptic seizures or loss of consciousness when exposed to certain flashing lights or light patterns in everyday life. Such people may have a seizure whilst watching television images or playing certain video games. This may happen even if the person has no medical history of epilepsy or has never had any epileptic seizures. If you or anyone in your family has ever had symptoms related to epilepsy (seizures or loss of consciousness) when exposed to flashing lights, consult your doctor prior to using this product. We advise that parents should monitor the use of video games by their children. If you or your child experience any of the following symptoms: dizziness, blurred vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of consciousness, disorientation, any involuntary movement or convulsion, while playing a video game, immediately discontinue use and consult your doctor. Do not play when you feel tired.Make sure that the room you play in is well lit. Take a 10 - 15 minute break per hour.
How does game recovery work?
During the process of recovery, your game is validated online to check that you are indeed the legitimate owner of the licence and of the activation code. This helps us to protect you and the game developers from illegal pirate copies. Please enter your e-mail address (the one you used in the purchase process) and your activation code during the recovery process.
How often can the game be recovered?
You can recover your game 3 times. If you need to install/ reactivate the game more than 3 times then you will need to contact EIDOS Store support.
Can an already purchased game be installed on another computer?
Yes, that is possible although you have to connect the second computer to the internet for game recovery.
What if the required webpage is unavailable during game recovery or purchase process?
It may be that anti-virus software or a firewall (e.g. also in Microsoft Service Pack 2) will prevent a connection to the internet. Disable these programs during the purchase or recovery process. Your game as well as the internet connection is guaranteed free of viruses . We strongly recommend that you re-enable your anti-virus software / firewall after purchasing a product or as soon as possible. We must also remind you that disabling your anti-virus software / firewall is done at your own discretion, and Square Enix Limited specifically disclaims any liability or claims for damage arising from your decision to disable this program.
Requesting a refund?
You have a 7 day cooling off period (please refer to the Terms of Sale document for more details) in which to cancel your contract with us.
As stated in the Terms & Conditions, you may not eligible for a refund if:
8.4.1 the Product is computer software which we supplied to you wrapped, sealed and unused in a box and you have opened the software package or broken the seal;
8.4.2 or you have commenced downloading your Product or otherwise used an activation code required to access and use a Product;
8.4.3 in respect of a Service, you have commenced use of that Service or we have commenced performance of the Service.
We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the date you had given valid notice of cancellation.
